Randi Tytingvåg Trio – a unique little chamber orchestra!

The Randi Tytingvåg Trio looks back on a long career with numerous tours in Norway and Germany. In March 2026, the band will release its new album, LENGT (Longing). With uplifting lyrics and a soundscape blending elements of folk, jazz, and the singer-songwriter tradition, the trio consistently delivers high-quality music.

In October 2025, the three musicians settled into a farmhouse surrounded by magnificent nature in Sandnes, Norway. In this peaceful, picturesque setting, they were able to work on the new album undisturbed and with great intensity. Through vocal harmonies, guitars, banjo, bouzouki, mandola, and other stringed instruments, they created a refreshingly invigorating acoustic musical style. LENGT’s music was composed by Randi Tytingvåg, and the lyrics were written in close collaboration with the poet and author Helge Torvund.

Now the three of them are looking forward to going on tour again and playing these songs live! The trio performs with a single microphone, in a completely old-fashioned style that comes straight from the heart. No backline or monitors are needed.
