Rita Braga – Cosmic Pop

Rita Braga is a Portuguese singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist known for her eclectic and whimsical style that blends elements of folk, pop, cabaret, and experimental music. With a distinctive voice and a playful approach to songwriting, she draws inspiration from a wide range of influences, including vintage tunes, world music, and surreal storytelling. Her repertoire includes songs in more than 10 languages.
As a solo artist, she has toured extensively throughout Europe over the past 15 years, as well as in the U.S., Brazil, Australia, and Japan.

She wrote and performed a sci-fi minimalist ukulele pop operetta titled *A Quantic Dream*. The show combined a dream sequence, astrophysics, burlesque, animation, and lighthearted existentialism.

Braga graduated with a degree in Music Sciences and completed her MA in Performance Making in London in 2019. She has also worked as a visual artist, creating illustrations and animations, as well as composing soundtracks for animated shorts and TV commercials.

Her numerous collaborations include work with Ana da Silva, Felix Kubin, and Ian Svenonius (The Make-Up).
