RAR Vol. VI @rar_reihe
Miss Modular, an academic from Düsseldorf, has been active as a DJ and in various bands in the Rhine-Ruhr metropolitan region for many years and is the founder of the RAR party series together with DJ Edelescort. Her set accompanies the entrance to the concert in the field of electroclash, experimental and repetition (minimal music) and focuses on the fringes of electronic popular music.
The intermedial Düsseldorf artist, mezzo-soprano and multi-instrumentalist Louretta dedicates her concert to the exploration and creation of sonorous landscapes that often defy the limitations of conventional playing styles. Her musical practice is characterized by spontaneity and a wide range of live looping techniques. She creates introspective, dense sound collages.
Knarf Rellöm from Hamburg is a living legend and has been musically active since the mid-80s. With a certain frenzy of variation with regard to his pseudonyms and band formations, he found a platform with a decidedly political attitude on pioneering labels such as Kitty-Yo, L'Age D'or, Trikont and What's So Funny About. On this evening he will be DJing a series of classic maxi-12" instrumentals from dub, hip hop and house, over which he will sing his own songs.
Paul-Christian Erntges is the owner of the Düsseldorf institution Hauch Records and founder of the party series RAR together with Miss Modular. As DJ Edelescort, he has already performed in bars, clubs and museums in the Rhine-Ruhr region and Austria and will be playing an eclectic, club-oriented mix of electronica/IDM, post-dubstep, techno and other electronic fringe genres at Schleuse Zwei for the late hour at the end of the evening.
