The exhibition Spatiality is dedicated to the relationship between sculpture, architecture and spatial perception. It brings together international artists who not only take space for granted, but also shape it, analyze it and question its social and sensual dimensions. Here, space is not a backdrop, but an active material - created through lines, mass, movement, emptiness or condensation. The works on display examine how space can be conceived, experienced, divided or disrupted.
In doing so, the artists radically question familiar patterns of perception of space. They break through traditional perspectives and replace them with new, often surprising forms of experiencing space. Their works encourage us not only to see space, but also to rethink it physically, emotionally and socially.
Our exhibition opening takes place as part of the Long Summer Night of the K1 Galleries Cologne.
