In the organizer's words:
A single man creates an entire world of sound: Reinhardt Buhr captivates millions of fans worldwide with his extraordinary combination of a wide variety of instruments and live looping.
Born in 1988, the South African began his musical journey relatively late, at the age of 19. A friend introduced him to playing the guitar, and shortly thereafter he discovered the flamenco guitar for himself. He was soon performing on small stages in Johannesburg, formed a band, and was touring the entire country shortly thereafter. At the same time, he continued to learn more and more; today, this self-taught musician is a true multi-instrumentalist: in addition to the guitar, he also plays the electric cello, didgeridoo, piano, drums, shofar, and electric saxophone.
But his path was not a straight one. As his career gained momentum, Buhr fell into a vicious cycle of depression and drug use. He increasingly distanced himself from those around him, until a personal low point finally marked a turning point. Following a profound experience, Buhr found religion and began a new chapter. This spiritual awakening continues to shape his music to this day. Since 2010, Buhr has released more than 13 albums in which he explores both his difficult experiences and his faith in God.
It is only in a live setting that his music unfolds in all its intensity. Buhr creates his music in real time on stage. The audience can witness how entire compositions gradually take shape from individual sounds and instruments. His personal story and the healing power of music are palpable in every note.
For Reinhardt Buhr, it’s about much more than classical concerts—these are evenings filled with transformation, worship, and connection that resonate long after they end. This fall, he will bring this special experience to Germany. Anyone seeking fellowship will find it here.
