Traveling Traveling - the podcast with Jochen Schliemann and Michael Dietz

Anyone can go on vacation. You have to travel. And you don't have to go to the ends of the earth to do it. Our names are Michael Dietz and Jochen Schliemann. We have traveled to more than 100 countries - and we are far from finished.

You may know Michael as a presenter (WDR Aktuelle Stunde, 1LIVE, WDR 2) and author, Jochen possibly as a music and travel reporter and author. As travel experts at the radio station 1LIVE, we realized for the first time that we could help others with their travel plans and something else, almost more important: Making people want to travel! To discover, to change perspectives, to just do it. Because almost all the places and journeys you dream of - the Eifel, the pyramids, the lonely hut on the beach, the culture shock in the distant metropolis, getting away from it all, the photo safari, the train across the Balkans, the mountain gorillas - it's possible!

Traveling makes you smart! - For us, this means: whether it's to the next town (Düren or Speyer) or to Bangkok. We believe that anyone who discovers their surroundings, people and nature away from two weeks of all-inclusive and cruise ships will go through the world with more open eyes.

We talk about it, take you with us and sometimes we are funny. Sometimes.

Traveling is the best thing you can do with your time. The second best thing is this podcast.
