Repair-Café im Schmitzundkunzt

As part of the sustainability principles and concepts that are always at the forefront at Schmitzundkunzt, we are implementing a concept within our available space that is commonly known as a “Repair Café.” We generally hold this event twice a month on a Sunday.

You’re welcome to visit our Repair Café at any time during our opening hours without an appointment. However, if you want to make sure that we can actually repair the specific item(s) you plan to bring in, feel free to let us know in advance about your visit and your broken item(s) by clicking the button below.

Another benefit of filling out and submitting this advance notice is that we’ll prioritize your repair request. In other words, we’ll work on items that have been announced to us in advance during our sessions before we tackle the items brought in by visitors who show up spontaneously! To help us better estimate our workload, we’d appreciate it if you could email us about your broken devices at least 3 days before your repair appointment. This way, we can work together to ensure that we can actually repair the exact item(s) you’d like to bring in for repair. Please understand that without timely advance notice via email, we can only help you if our volunteers have available capacity.

To be fair to other guests, you may have a maximum of 2 items repaired at the Repair Café on any given day. Please note that even with a prior reservation, you may have to accept longer wait times, as we cannot estimate how long other or preceding repairs will take.
