The life story of Richie Ros is a testament to the human soul and the healing power of music.
He grew up in a state orphanage in the city of Limerick in Ireland. On his 11th birthday, his most fervent wish for a guitar was finally fulfilled by a teacher who taught him to play "Johnny Be Goode" on it. To cope with all his inner turmoil, Richie began to compose and perform his own songs. At the same time, he developed his own inner world in which his feelings were expressed through music.
Together with David Odlum, Grammy Award winner and former producer of The Frames, he produced his debut album "Odyssey" at Black Box Studio, France. The name "Odyssey" fits - the journey of a boy who has worked hard against all odds to create his own story. The music in his soul, he says, has finally set him free. "Odyssey" was released in 2019. Richie Ros is going on tour to share his songs and his story with the world.
