The "Zeit" wrote in 2021: "Sebastian Heindl does not simply play the organ. He can lift his audience to heaven or sink them into misery - a Leipzig miracle musician." Now this highly talented organist is coming to the Kölner Philharmonie.
Actually, he comes from Gera. But in Leipzig he has passed through all the educational institutions that have been important for centuries: as a member of the St. Thomas Boys Choir and a student of the conservatory once founded by Felix Mendelssohn. "From the very beginning I was very enthusiastic about Bach," admits Sebastian Heindl, who was born in 1997. Of course, Bach's music will not be missing from his Cologne recital. His program will be supplemented with contemporary music - and one of his own compositions. "Art must be presented live," is his credo.
