Rob Heron & The Tea Pad Orchestra
In the organizer's words:
Swing, Honky-Tonk, Rockabilly, Newcastle, UK
In 2026, Rob Heron & The Tea Pad Orchestra will celebrate 15 years since their formation! Since 2011, they have been gleefully blurring genre boundaries by blending rockabilly, blues, country, swing, soul, and more into their musical gumbo—yet always sounding mostly just like themselves. Formed in Newcastle Upon Tyne, but now hailing from across the UK, the Tea Pad have released six albums, multiple singles, and EPs, and have toured extensively throughout the British Isles and Europe, playing everywhere from Glastonbury and the Cambridge Folk Festival to village halls and barns, and everywhere in between.
Well-known for their energetic live shows and dry humor, they’ve toured with some of the big-name Americana acts such as Pokey LaFarge, The Dead South, and Sierra Ferrell. They have released music on Sleazy Records, El Toro Records (Spain), and Migraine Records (Germany). Joining Rob Heron (vocals/guitar) are Tom Cronin (mandolin/harmonica/guitar), Ben Powling (saxophone/clarinet), Adam Richards (double bass/electric bass), and Paul Archibald (drums).
