Sababa 5's music revolves around Mediterranean rhythms and melodies, along with sounds from the world of rock and psychedelic funk, creating a true blend of East and West.

"Sababa 5" was founded by a group of musicians known for their work with some of Tel Aviv's best artists/singers such as Gili Yalo, Ester Rada and Liraz Charhi, as well as with famous groups such as Hoodna Orchestra, Tigris and Kutiman Orchestra.
With members' influences ranging from Wrecking Crew recordings from the 60s to analog Middle Eastern music from the 70s, the band's sound constantly revolves around different genres and rhythms, but at its core, "Sababa 5" is always a groove-centric band. The band's main source of inspiration is "Lehakot Ketzev" (beat groups) from Israel, who played innovative combinations of psychedelic rock mixed with Mediterranean-Arabic music in the 60s and 70s. The fusion of East and West and the new spirit that the band members bring with them creates a unique mix of styles that crystallizes into a new and original work.
