He has "the rare gift of being able to talk about happiness", wrote the Süddeutsche Zeitung about the great storyteller Uwe Timm, who celebrates his 85th birthday on March 30, 2025.
Uwe Timm and Sven Hanuschek talk to Christian Gohlke about two works from the famous author's extensive oeuvre: in conversation, they contrast the early novel "Heißer Sommer" (1974) with the most recently published novel "Alle meine Geister" (2023) in order to trace biographical traces and social contexts.
