Samara Cyn creates an infectious sound of modern hip-hop, jazz, rap and neo-soul that is attracting international attention. With over 70 million global streams and co-signs from artists such as Tyler, The Creator, Doechii, Doja Cat, Alicia Keys, Teddy Swims and others, the 27-year-old US-American has long since found her audience. As tour support for Nas and Smino, she has also been able to convincingly ignite the spark of her music live. After releasing a total of three EPs, the artist is now taking the next step on her career path and embarking on her first headline tour. Here in Germany, Samara Cyn will be stopping off at Helios37 in Cologne in September to present her new EP "Detour" .

Originally from Tennessee, Samara Cyn moved several times as the child of a military family and learned to adapt again and again. This adaptability learned early on also shaped her dynamic musical approach and storytelling, which today - like her adopted home of Los Angeles - acts as a firm anchor. Samara Cyn 's musical journey began in 2019 when she wrote her first song for therapeutic reasons. A tool for coping with her own problems quickly turned into a focused passion that led her to continuously release new music from 2023 onwards. After the first single releases, Samara Cyn celebrated her first major successes with the songs "pride's interlude" and "Chrome". This was followed in October 2024 by her most successful track to date, "Sinner", and a short time later by the accompanying debut EP "The Drive Home " - a snapshot of her development to date and the search for her own identity, which occupies a central place in her artistic narrative. Bolstered by media acclaim (Rolling Stone, GENIUS, VIBE and others), which declared Samara Cyn one of the most exciting new artists, the rapper and singer returned with further singles. The second EP "backroads" followed in June 2025, making the song "pop n olive" feat. Sherwyn another fan favorite. Also in 2025, she made her late-night TV debut on The Daily Show, received acclaim from media outlets such as COMPLEX, Billboard, The Fader and NPR and became part of the XXL Freshman Class.
