Santiago Cruz is one of the most important pop artists in Colombia and Latin America. In a career spanning more than 20 years, the singer-songwriter from Tolima has become a permanent fixture on the international pop music scene and collected numerous awards. With ten albums released to date, Santiago has received six Latin GRAMMY nominations. These include nominations for Best Singer-Songwriter Album (Cruce de Caminos (2010), Equilibrio (2015), Trenes, Aviones y Viajes Interplanetarios (2017) and Nueve (2023)), as well as nominations for Recording of the Year (Desde Lejos (2013)) and Best Singer-Songwriter Song (1,200 Kilómetros in 2023).

In September 2021, he expanded his repertoire with his first book, Diciembre, otra vez. This collection of real-time stories highlights different stages of his life, his artistic development, his perspective on music and the industry and his personal transformation.

He was also a judge on La Descarga, a prime-time show on Caracol TV. His ninth studio album Nueve, produced by Juan Pablo Vega, was released in 2023. The subsequent Después de la Tormenta tour included 25 concerts in Colombia, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador and nine US cities, topped off by an unforgettable, sold-out performance at the Movistar Arena in Bogotá.

The year 2024 began with the successful Un Tour Íntimo de Verdad in Mexico, where the concerts in Mexico City, Guadalajara and Querétaro were sold out; further performances took place in Toluca, Monterrey and Puebla. At the same time, the singer-songwriter played five shows in the USA with Un Tour Acústico de Verdad before continuing the tour in 14 Colombian cities, including three sold-out evenings in Bogotá, Bucaramanga and Medellín.

2025 was followed by his tenth studio album, Quince de Caminos, celebrating the 15th anniversary of his most significant album to date, Cruce de Caminos. The record presents 2025 versions of the original hits and impresses with collaborations with Junior Zamora, Monsieur Periné and Juan Pablo Vega. The accompanying Quince de Caminos, La Gira included over 40 shows in the United States, Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, Chile, Spain, Ecuador, the Dominican Republic and Guatemala.

The release of his eleventh album, Fragmentos, is planned for 2026. This will contain 11 unreleased singles, complemented by an extensive tour of Colombia, Latin America, Europe and the United States.
