Make Democracy Great Again!
Words Against the End of the World
What connects an AfD voter and a climate activist? The fear that the world, as it is, will come to an end. So much for a divided society! Whether on the right or the left, an “old white man” or a young “woke” woman, a cargo bike enthusiast or an anti-vaxxer: we’re united in our fear of a bleak future.
But Sarah Bosetti isn’t in the mood for fear and gloom. And she has a better idea! If we don’t like the future as it’s being painted, then we should paint a brighter one and work toward it. If no one feels like democracy anymore, we shouldn’t give it up—we should make it better.
“Make Democracy Great Again!” is a funny, biting, and thought-provoking plea to save democracy. Sarah Bosetti gives politicians communication lessons, invents the best fake news, writes thought-provoking protest signs, and shows why it’s a privilege to be allowed to get up off the couch.
