Sascha im Quadrat

"Sascha im Quadrat" has been a fixture at the Capitol Mannheim Casino since 2012. As has been the tradition for over a decade, Sascha Kleinophorst, Sascha Krebs, Frank Schäffer, and Christof Brill will once again invite a musical guest to join them once a month in 2026. They play whatever’s fun. That’s how unique cover versions of well-known songs meet unparalleled humor.

September’s guest: Susan Horn
Susan Horn has been a member of the Capitol ensemble for decades. The affable leader, charming host, and founder of the successful music session MO’ROOTS—which has been delighting fans since 2004—is a versatile artist who cannot be pigeonholed into a single musical genre. As an actress, singer, host, and songwriter, this trained musical theater performer has graced stages around the world for several decades; she taught as a vocal instructor at the Popakademie in Mannheim, sang her way through tours across Europe, America, and the UAE, and released her debut album “Kein Zurück” in 2007. Classical opera arias are just as much a part of her repertoire as pop, soul, blues, and jazz interpretations. With the musical revue “IWWA DIE BRICK – Eine Hommage,” which had its world premiere at the Theater am Puls in Schwetzingen and has since been performed regularly at the Schatzkistl in Mannheim, Susan brought to life her idea for a stage production about the Mannheim soul and blues icon Joy Fleming. And as the biggest fan of the 1920s, she created the musical revue “Fräulein Susi’s Singing Delight” in 2021—a project close to the blonde diva’s heart.
No matter what Susan does, where she does it, or how she does it—she always gives it her all, with charm, humor, and complete dedication.

Who are the Saschas?
Sascha Kleinophorst has toured with many rock bands; among other things, he performed as the frontman of the Brass Machine throughout Germany and appeared several times at the legendary Montreux Jazz Festival. In addition, he—like his partner in crime, Sascha Krebs—is a longtime member of the Capitol Ensemble, which has a large fan base. The fact that “Little Sascha”—as Sascha Krebs is affectionately known—rocks just as hard in an intimate setting as he does on the biggest stages with his band “The Queen Kings” is part of the success of Sascha im Quadrat.
