SCHAMLOS
In the organizer's words:
The FLINTA* collective “lieblos” explores the origins of our collective shame in a space between humor and the abyss. A theatrical collage with a penchant for paradoxes that grapples with central questions of self-worth, desire, and our socialization. When did we start feeling ashamed of ourselves? Why do I feel ashamed for others? And where does this seemingly insurmountable mountain of shame actually come from? From within us or from the outside? Does shame divide us, or can it also bring us together?
We dig for courage within our fears and shamelessly share our own experiences. Our main themes include: sexualized violence, female* socialization, the daily confrontation with images of beauty and ideals, female* desire and its suppression, catcalling, and patriarchy.
