New York 1932: Young people meet in Avah's Ballroom to party under the protection of masks - much to the displeasure of their parents. There, Leander, son of the Danish shipowner Jeronimus Carlsen, meets the mysterious Leonora - and falls in love. His father, however, has other plans and wants to marry him off to the daughter of a business friend. The lovers throw themselves into the last great masquerade to escape their parents' paternalism. At midnight, when all the masks fall, Leander has to make a decision...

spotlights offers young theater groups at schools or youth facilities in Bonn and the Rhein-Sieg district the opportunity to perform their productions in public under professional conditions. An expert jury selects the most convincing productions from the applications.
The Junge Theatergemeinde BONN is the youth organization of the BONN theater community.
With around 9,000 members, the Theatergemeinde BONN is one of the largest visitor organizations in Germany and, with numerous volunteer-run local groups, a visitor organization for the entire Rhineland.
It is a local branch of the Theatergemeinde - Gesellschaft "Christ und Kultur", based in Cologne.
