Science Slam Köln im Kino!
In the organizer's words:
At the Cologne Science Slam, up-and-coming scientists bring their research to the stage—in a way that’s easy to understand, creative, and laced with a good dose of humor. In collaboration with theUniversity of Cologne’s Faculty of Medicine, an event format is being developed that takes science out of the lecture halls and makes it accessible to a broad audience.
Almost anything goes: pictures, props, live demonstrations, or short performance segments help convey even complex topics in an accessible way. In the end, the audience decides which presentation was the most compelling.
Science Slams show that science doesn’t just happen in the lab or lecture hall—it inspires people when it’s presented in an accessible way. They foster a direct dialogue between research and society, make current topics tangible, and invite people to experience science from a new perspective—without any prior knowledge required.
