*Minor Slip* is the Felte debut fromShaki Tavi, the main project of Oklahoma-born, LA-based DIY veteran Leon Manson. Centered on bursts of fuzzed-out guitars, overdriven drums, and Manson’s harmonized baritone, its eight songs are powerful, vulnerable, catchy, and genuine—a pop-leaning eruption of creative force from the child of rock musicians, whose passion emerged as a small-town outsider and was forged amid the artifice and “fend-for-yourself” reality of LA.
