Shakti & Matze are two everyday escape artists and enchant their mostly highly amused concert audiences with their chansons without electronics. A musical evening between musical cabaret and singer-songwriter genre awaits you.

Music in the courtyard of Loft 18

The courtyard of Loft 18 with a view of the chimney of the wax factory is where Cologne photographer Ruprecht Stempell works. Enjoy the evening in the special atmosphere of this Mediterranean-style courtyard and take a look inside this loft, which is only open on special occasions.

Most of the heat is lost through your head - you could simply put on a hat or go to a concert by Shakti and Matze.
They are good-mood spreaders, everyday escape helpers and their songs and stories are real sources of warmth.

At hundreds of concert evenings throughout Germany, they have changed their audiences' minds and won over many fans.
Shakti and Matze sing about a golden record, Beatles messages, a magic bus, the Captain Picard frog, their journeys through the night, seven-zone-ton pocket spring mattresses and they have a farewell song for people who still say "Tschüssikowski".
You're sure to find yourself in their songs and stories.
In addition to guitars and vocals, you can hear an autoharp, a stylophone, wah-wah tubes, jaw harps, a keyboard glockenspiel, kazoos, percussion and anything else that fits in a suitcase.

They were on the Liederbestenliste for several months, won the Belziger Bachstelze cabaret prize, have been nominated for the Franconian Cabaret Prize 2026 and one of their numerous albums has just been awarded "Best Chanson Album" at the 43rd Rock & Pop Prize 2025.
