Dame Emma Kirkby, one of the most important voices in early music, is at the center of this final concert. Her clear, unmistakable voice characterizes an evening dedicated entirely to the psalms.

Two musical worlds meet at the end of SHALOM-MUSIK.KOELN 2026: the Hebrew settings by the Jewish composer Salomone Rossi and the Psalms by Heinrich Schütz, which were composed at almost the same time.

The same texts - two musical languages, two religious traditions. This juxtaposition creates an intensive dialog between Jewish and Christian music.

A calm, concentrated and impressive conclusion to the festival - carried by an extraordinary voice.
