Sigi Zimmerschied – „KEIN THEMA. Eine deutsche Antwort“
In the organizer's words:
Sigi Zimmerschied – “NOT AN ISSUE. A German Response”
Crisis is no longer a state of emergency, but rather a permanent feature of society. Pandemics and war, species extinction and economic uncertainty, the disappearance of parking spaces and personal overwhelm: Fear consistently finds new targets in Germany—and with them, a growing market of charlatans, promises of salvation, and supposedly simple answers.
In “NO BIG DEAL. A German Response,” Sigi Zimmerschied brings the coach and self-proclaimed problem-solver Heini Himmerl to the stage. Himmerl can’t do anything, but he knows everything. He solves problems by denying them; he creates new ones by claiming they exist. He promises guidance, self-discovery, and a world without difficulties—even though his own life is on the verge of falling apart due to a broken gas heater, moldy jam sandwiches, the debt collection agency, and his mother.
Zimmerschied dissects the market of fear, the longing for authority, and the desire not to understand social complexity, but to do away with it altogether.
A grotesque, wicked, and keenly observed cabaret evening with a disturbingly contemporary feel.
