Les Calcatoggios from Berlin Can you believe it? Les Calcatoggios have been gracing the Berlin ska scene since 1998 and celebrated their 25th anniversary in 2023. Formed during a vacation in Corsica under the name Calcatoggio, they’ve been performing on stages in Berlin and the surrounding area ever since. But they’ve also taken the stage in other regions of Germany as well as in England, France, Poland, and Spain.

They’ve played multiple times at events such as the ApoSkalypse, the Skanta Klaus Festival, the This is Ska Festival, and the 2024 Dynamite Ska Festival. This makes them one of Germany’s top ska bands, and they help support the scene by organizing festivals and building infrastructure. The band consists of eight members: Ela on drums, Roland on guitar, Sandra on vocals, Hajo on bass, the horn section featuring Paula (tenor sax), Thomas (trumpet), and Benny (trombone); Tor handles the keys. They play lively and refreshing music designed to get everyone dancing and singing along.
Catchy melodies, brilliant rhythm changes, and the courage to do something unusual will have your dancing shoes smoking!
