Baritone/alto saxophonist Max Boehm, with contrabass clarinet, tenor saxophonist Max Rademacher, drummer Leon Saleh and rapper Niklas Nieschlag show how exciting and impressive music can be made without harmony instruments. Jazz meets techno meets hip hop. Fat basses, impressive solos and rolling rhythms, paired with jazz, rock and techno, mixed into a brew of energy, melancholy and passion that leaves no eyes dry - that's the band Skilbeck. With their music, the three young Hamburg natives create an image of post-modernism that is unable to fill the emotional vacuum of the Spartan dreariness of a hungry society, but meets it in an echo of resonance, completely detached and jolting the audience with their basses.
