Since the release of her debut EP "Home One Day" (2020), London-raised singer-songwriter SOBI's life has changed a lot. Adjusting to life as a new mom and being cooped up in what she calls her "newborn lockdown bubble" has given her new inspiration and the opportunity to explore different musical narratives that evolve from the atmospheric, guitar-driven sounds of "Devil" and "Pearl."

To celebrate the release of the EP, SOBI also played a sold-out headline show at LUX in Hannover in front of a crowd of 200. Her single "Devil" landed on several independently curated Spotify playlists and her single "Pearl" has garnered over 335,000 streams on Spotify.

At the tender age of 16, she began writing and performing her own songs. Initially, she wrote on acoustic guitar, but after seeing Lianne La Havas perform in a London bar, she was inspired to pick up an electric guitar, giving her soulful, tender songs a raw and unique edge.

Since then SOBI has played several tours (including supporting Jamie Lawson and Kat Frankie on their sold out tour) and made a name for herself in the UK & Germany, building a loyal fan base.

After taking some time to develop her sound, SOBI is now back with new tracks. Her songs tell stories of encounters and relationships, beautiful and sad experiences, dark moments and positive turns. Hope can be the key to heal sadness and this is what the singer, guitarist and composer expresses in her songs.

In her most recently released single, "Caribbean Beach," SOBI recounts her own experience with grief after the sudden loss of her father in 2020, describing the feeling of not being ready to let go even as others move on, and finding comfort in beautiful memories and old photos.
