London-raised singer-songwriter SOBI grew up surrounded by music, and although her parents were not musicians themselves, going to concerts and listening to music were an important part of her life. A rather shy child, it was music that brought SOBI out of her shell and allowed her to express herself. At the tender age of 16, she began writing and performing her own songs. Initially, she wrote on acoustic guitar, but after seeing Lianne La Havas perform in a London bar, she was inspired to pick up an electric guitar, which gave her soulful, tender songs a raw and unique edge. Since then, SOBI has played several tours (most recently supporting KAT FRANKIE on her 'Shiny Things' German tour) and has made a name for herself in the UK and Germany, building a loyal fan base.

SOBI tells stories in her songs. Songs about relationships, happy and sad experiences, dark times and finding silver linings. The cure for sadness is hope, and that is what she creates in her songs.

On the occasion of the release of her debut EP 'Home One Day', SOBI played a sold out headline show at LUX in Hannover in front of 200 people. Her single "Devil" landed on several independently curated Spotify playlists, including Alexrainbird's Winter 2020 indie playlist, and her single "Pearl" has garnered over 400,000 streams on Spotify.

SOBI's new single "Honey Honey" marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for her music. After being asked by music supervisor Lindsay Wolfinngton (One Tree Hill, To All the Boys I've loved before) to write an original song for the soundtrack of the upcoming Netflix rom-com 'Love at First Sight' (starring Haley Lu Richardson and Ben Hardy), SOBI revisits her folk and country roots in this soulful, optimistic love song. Produced by her longtime collaborator Jan Jakob, "Honey Honey" reminds listeners that there is still joy and romance to be found in this chaotic world.

SOBI is currently working on her debut album, scheduled for release in early 2024, which she will perform live on her own first headline tour of Germany in March.
