DOUBLE BILL - Opening of the Summer Academy 2026

TanzFaktur is opening the Summer Academy 2026 with a special DOUBLE BILL - the annual highlight of our international workshop campus and diverse performance program.

We are delighted to welcome renowned international artists to Cologne, who will not only present their current works but also offer workshops as part of the Summer Academy.

The evening brings together two very different artistic positions:

"Two Room Apartment" creates an immersive performance space between dance piece, club and social gathering. Audience and performers share the same space and move together through a choreographic landscape of sound, light, repetition and intimacy. Between performance and participation, observation and devotion, a sensual, lively and unpredictable experience unfolds.

With "PETER, a story ballet", Billy Barry presents a touching solo inspired by "Peter and the Wolf". Personal memories and inner transitions interweave to create a poetic tale about courage, change and the hope of following one's own inner voice.
