Kulturfabrik Leipzig cordially invites you to the Summer Festival 2026! When the days are at their longest, the sun is shining and the good mood never ends, we will open our doors on June 7, 2026 from 3 p.m. for an eventful afternoon full of creativity, music, movement and encounters.

There's lots to discover again: together with our workshops, clubs and cooperation partners, we have prepared numerous hands-on activities, creative activities and movement stations. Whether young or old, explorer or daydreamer, puzzler or bon vivant - there's something for everyone. You can try things out, create, play, dance and get active yourself.

The associations Cammerspiele, Frauenkultur, Halle 5 and WERK 2 with its workshops will be taking part. We are also looking forward to contributions and activities from Omas for Future, Leipzig Helps Ukraine e.V., SOS Children's Village and the Jugendhaus e.V. time capsule. In addition to many creative and movement activities, there will of course also be sweet and savory treats as well as various drinks on the premises.

A varied stage program with music, dance, poetry slam and martial arts awaits you again this year.

"Singing with us" - Women's culture choir project
The choir was created as the "Singing Europe" choir project on the occasion of the Battle of the Nations anniversary in 2013 ... and generated so much enthusiasm and joy among all those involved that it has been continued since 2014 as a cross-district choir project under the motto "Singing with us".
Singing together always has the effect of a "fitness program": singing lowers the stress hormone cortisol, significantly improves mood, promotes circulation as well as stamina, concentration, motivation and creativity.
For these reasons, all younger and older people who enjoy singing together are cordially invited to take part in this intergenerational choir project organized by the Frauenkultur socio-cultural center. After all, experiencing and sharing the joy of life with other people is important for our well-being and our everyday lives.
Rehearsals take place once a month under the direction of SANDRA HAVENSTEIN, musician, music teacher, ensemble coach and choir director

Women's culture senior dance group
The senior women's dance group shows that dancing is fun and keeps you fit at any age. The group dances folklore dances as well as old and new dance forms from all over the world - open to everyone, even those with no previous experience. The group meets regularly under the direction of Marina Faizova, trainer for senior dance.
Dance groups in Hall 5
The dance groups in Hall 5 present themselves with energy, rhythm and lots of movement:
- Hip hop / street dance (led by Hannah)
- Breakdance classes (led by Milan)
- Everybody Dance (led by Jenni)

Poetry Slam
Leipzig slam poet Lina Klöpper (*2000), two-time Saxon state poetry slam champion (2021 & 2022), author and coffee drinker, will also be taking part. She has already reached the final of the German-language championships twice. In 2022, her first work "Liebe und das Gegenteil" was published by Brimborium Verlag - a collection of queer short stories and poems.

Martial arts with Yushinkan
The martial arts group Yushinkan presents an insight into their work and demonstrates various elements of their training on stage.

"Singing with heart"
The choir "Singen mit Herz" is also looking forward to a musical finale to the summer festival.
