Cake and champagne instead of medication: In a small Danish care home called Dagmarsminde, there is always an occasion for a toast, be it the Queen's birthday, a wedding anniversary or a farewell. The residents live here in a kind of residential community using an unusual treatment method. The dedicated founder May Bjerre Eiby calls it "care". Touch, conversation, the joy of community and experiencing nature are all part of the recipe. Even if the residents at the breakfast table have often forgotten where they are and whether their spouse is still with them, the team's loving approach always brings them back to the here and now.
