Musically rootless, Halbtal draws on genres like post-punk, math rock, Krautrock, and electronica. And what emerges is unhesitatingly declared a rebellious experiment, an open question of the fragment. A driving rhythm section and feverishly shimmering guitars prevent any stagnation. It is music on an eternal quest for the yellow flower in a field of poppies, for dryness at the bottom of the sea.
