From November 15, one of Cologne's most beautiful Christmas markets will once again take place around the Stadtgarten between festively decorated huts and under old treetops. To mark the occasion and as a supporting program, the Stadtgarten restaurant invites you to the XMAS SOUL-LOUNGE.
From 21:30 on selected weekend days, the DJs and initiators of SOULVILLE - Wolfgang Rink aka DJ Rinc (Cool Jerk), Frank Make (Mojo Workout) and Dynamic Eric (Chills&Fever) - will be playing in the restaurant together or alternately with friendly guest DJs from Cologne's rare soul scene.
They play whatever they like, mainly 60s & 70s Funk & Soul in all its facets, from RnB & Popcorn, Motown & Northern Soul, Brasil & Latin Soul, Boogaloo, Modern Soul & Boogie to Disco, Early Reggae & Ska.
Only vinyl is played, usually the original vinyl pressings of the time, as 7inch singles or LPs.
So if you missed the last round of mulled wine, still fancy a nightcap or just want to groove to some good soul music, this is the place to be.
