WE’RE BACK!

After a one-year hiatus, the band returns to the stage to mark David Bowie’s 80th birthday and the 11th anniversary of his passing! The band led by Grönemeyer guitarist Jakob Hansonis and singer Pit Hupperten (Bläck Fööss) pays tribute to the “Thin White Duke,” who passed away in 2016!

All of them great admirers, they decided shortly after the icon’s death to put on a full concert consisting exclusively of Bowie songs. One concert led to many, and they went on tour. However, the band doesn’t freeze in awe of Bowie, but adds its own unique touches. The repertoire features an exquisite selection of both well-known and lesser-known Bowie classics: extremely powerful and rocking, partly modernized, newly arranged, or expanded upon.

Hansonis’ guitar magically reproduces the typical Bowie sound, while Hupperten adapts Bowie’s vocal trademarks in a skillful and unique way—a respectful tribute, free from any masquerade or embarrassing imitations. Jakob Hansonis and his fantastic band invite you on a musical journey through Bowie’s entire body of work: from pre-punk to ballads, from funk to drum and bass, from pop to new wave, all the way to Bowie’s final album, “Blackstar.” You can look forward to an extraordinary evening.
