Spotlights - School theater festival with the Rhein-Sieg-Gymnasium St. Augustin (RSG)

The theater group of the 6th and 7th grade of the RSG presents:

Emmi - An adaptation of the novel "Emil and the Detectives" by Erich Kästner

Emmi Kästner is twelve, intrepid and alone on the ICE from Siegburg to Berlin - with 340 euros for her grandma, safely pinned in her inside pocket with a safety pin. What could possibly happen? When Emmi wakes up in Berlin, the money is gone!

Luckily, in Berlin she meets Greta, the charismatic leader of a backyard gang, and her crew of quick-witted, headstrong, sometimes hungry Berlin kids. Together with the gang, Emmie sets off in search of the thief. What follows is a fast-paced chase through the capital.

"Emmi" is a cheeky, heartfelt retelling of Erich Kästner's classic: more modern, more feminine - and a lot more chocolate.

The Junge Theatergemeinde BONN is the youth organization of the BONN theater community.
With around 9,000 members, the Theatergemeinde BONN is one of the largest visitor organizations in Germany and, with numerous volunteer-run local groups, a visitor organization for the entire Rhineland.
It is a local branch of the Theatergemeinde - Gesellschaft "Christ und Kultur", based in Cologne.
