STADTKLIMA WILDBIENEN: VERBORGEN, SPEZIALISIERT, UNVERZICHTBAR
In the organizer's words:
Why do some bees only visit certain flowers, and why do they nest in sand, dead wood or even empty snail shells? Wild bees are true specialists and yet are often barely visible. In an exciting lecture, we delve into their fascinating world and learn about their special requirements in terms of food and habitat. We will also look at the challenges that many species face today and how their protection can be achieved with simple means. Afterwards, we will get practical: together we will build nesting aids for wild bees and create new habitats for the small pollinators. An offer for everyone who not only wants to get to know wild bees, but also wants to actively contribute to their protection.
The workshop is part of the Stadtklima - Nachbarschaft auf neuen Wegen project and aims to give young people from the neighborhood low-threshold access to culture and ecological sustainability.
