SCHLINGSI – somewhere between indie pop, drama, and the usual emotional turmoil

SCHLINGSI makes German-language indie pop with a penchant for drama—somewhere between ’00s rock, musical theater influences, and glittering pop melancholy. Their songs tell of the emotional turmoil of one’s twenties: the search for direction, the end of friendships, unrequited love—and the courage to get back on your feet after it all.
It sometimes sounds like an echo of Rosenstolz, Revolverheld, or Juli, but always remains distinct: lyrical imagery, clear messages, catchy melodies. In doing so, SCHLINGSI playfully teeters on the edge of Schlager without ever slipping into the trite.
Her closest circle of friends calls her SCHLINGSI, and the singer wants to present herself to her audience as just as approachable and lively—now for the first time as a solo artist and in German. Previously, she toured with an English-language indie rock band, performing over 50 shows in the Rhine-Main region and beyond. Now it’s time for something of her own: more personal, more emotional, more direct. SCHLINGSI has already released two EPs, and we’re excited to see what else is in store in the near future!
