Stoffservietten selbst bedrucken – Workshop
In the organizer's words:
Cloth napkins are so versatile: a lovely touch on a set table, a pretty table decoration under your vase or candle, or colorful gift wrapping—and they’re brilliantly sustainable no matter how you use them!
In this three-hour workshop, you’ll learn the basics of linocut printing. I’ll give you a brief introduction to the materials and technique, and then you can get started right away. You’ll choose your own design, transfer it to your vinyl plate, and then start carving. Once you’re happy with your plate, you’ll apply the ink and print your own napkins. We’ll use a fabric ink that takes about a week to dry completely and is machine-washable afterward. It doesn’t matter if you’re new to linocut printing or have been a fan of this technique for a long time. I’ll be on hand at all times to offer help and answer questions. At the end, each participant will take home two napkins as well as their own printing plate.
We’ll draw, tinker, and get creative together. You’re welcome to come alone or sign up as a group. There’s room for a maximum of 10 participants. Everyone is welcome—including children, of course. However, due to the sharp tools, I recommend this workshop for ages 10 and up. I’ll bring tea, water, and some snacks for you; other cold drinks can be purchased from the on-site refrigerator.
All materials will be provided. The napkins are organic and fairly produced. No prior experience is necessary.
