In the organizer's words:
True to the Ruhr area motto "what doesn't fit is made to fit", the Dortmund-based "Tanzorchester Paschulke" draws on a wide variety of styles and its members themselves bring different cultures into the music - a particularly important source of inspiration is the energetic music of the Balkans. Tanzorchester Paschulke mixes traditional melodies and rhythms with well-known pop songs, while the lyrics affectionately poke fun at the Ruhr area's working-class culture with Westphalian brashness.
