Yet it is often the economy that decides whether wars are fought and whether they are won. In her new book "Geld als Waffe: Wie die Wirtschaft über Krieg und Frieden entscheidet" (Money as a Weapon: How the Economy Decides War and Peace), taz economics editor Ulrike Herrmann explains the connections.
