People are dancing to guitars again, singing to synthesizer sounds, following their favorite bands around the country. A new generation of indie bands is making a name for itself in Germany, reinventing sounds from new wave and indie rock - Steintor Herrenchor and TEMMIS are going on tour together.

In a hypothermic rehearsal room in Tübingen in 2021, a young band declares war on the boredom of the pandemic. Faster than you can write along, the cramped DIY basements of Tübingen are transformed into the festival stages of the country. Their manic dance between musical detail and simplicity is equal parts rock and electro, sometimes called Neue neue deutsche Welle, sometimes Indietronica. With only 3 releases and a move to Hamburg, a tight-knit fan community is gathering around the band. Not least to blame for this are the urgent, emotional lyrics and the surprising stage presence. Thus, at a TEMMIS concert, post-punk, indie rock and ravers hand each other the digital camera.

Steintor Herrenchor from Hannover manage with their music to make the marriage of New Wave, Post-Punk and Casio-Pop in DIY style powerful and authentic. They create the soundtrack for the thunderstorm in the head on gray summer days. From reflection on yesterday to the dilemma of the present, this wave is far from ready to break.

Since both bands are such a harmonious match, they are going on a co-headlining tour later this year to share their unique interplay with the world.
