Phonoboy is the solo project of Christian Höck, who is a songwriter, singer, multi-instrumentalist, studio operator and producer all rolled into one. Love and Let Die , the fifth album from his project Phonoboy, named after a legendary 1969 Grundig record player, was released at the end of 2020. It is the first completely English-language work by the artist, who, thanks to his Francophone background - Christian was born in France to a French mother - has so far mainly appeared on Phonoboy with a colorful mix of French-English-German pop, garage and wave. Musically, the album also takes a slightly different direction than Phonoboy has been used to so far: singer-songwriter Americana, indie folk, country, pop, but also sounds reminiscent of the great era of 1960s and 1970s music from Great Britain and the US brand Velvet Underground.
