In the organizer's words:
With attitude against all expectations: THE HARA back with a new album: With "The Fallout" live in Cologne & Munich at the end of November!
Presented by MoreCore
They write songs against the autopilot. Against expectations. Against those moments when music simply serves instead of touching. THE HARA do their thing, emotionally torn, angry, thoughtful and somewhere between post-hardcore, alternative rock and modern emo edge.
In January, they released their new album "The Haunted" - an album that they didn't write for the music industry, which they are generally very critical of. It's for the people who are worn down and plunged into doubt by the strange, structureless world in which they live. Full of the authenticity that they value so highly. It is "only" their second longplayer, after initially only releasing EPs in the first few years after the band was founded in 2017 - albeit many of them: Up to three a year.
The trio from Manchester - singer Josh Taylor, drummer Jack Kennedy and guitarist Zack Breen - draw from a place of unadulterated, condensed intention for their current music. Crucially, these songs form the building blocks for their energetic live performances, the environment in which they condense into their truest, best selves. When it came to weaving the material they had accumulated for 'The Fallout' into a whole, they knew they wanted to shift into a higher gear, but nothing was forced. Josh, as the lyricist, is guided by his subconscious. He lets it speak, and once the words are on paper, he's able to better understand what's been going on in the recesses of his mind. "It was never a matter of 'This is how I feel, this is what I'm going to write about'. It just happens," he explains. "I find it hard to communicate in everyday life, and I feel that writing is my way of expressing what's happening, even if I don't understand it at the time. It's like therapy." Therapy for him - but equally so for the listener. Their intense genre mix of alternative rock, metal and post-hardcore blends this therapeutic element together into a high-density genre mix that has already earned them support tours with Sum 41, Nothing More, Escape the Fate and Ice Nine Kills - as well as sold-out headline shows across Europe and the UK. THE HARA's fearless new chapter is the most confident they've ever been. Despite the pressure, toxicity and self-doubt coming at them from all directions, they have used the pressure to create diamonds. Most importantly, through it all, they have transformed into the best version of themselves. "This album is probably the purest, rawest version of us," Josh emphasizes. "Musically, lyrically - everything feels more authentic than we've ever been. This is really who we are." To be marveled at live in November in Cologne and Munich.
