The Kingdom of Bhutan was the last country in the world to be connected to the Internet and television, but the biggest challenge of all still lies ahead: democracy. To teach the people how to vote, the authorities organize a trial election, but the population seems unconvinced. When the election officer travels to rural Bhutan, where religion plays a bigger role than politics, he discovers that a monk is planning a mysterious ceremony for election day.

The film will be followed by a discussion with Dagmar Schwerk, Professor of Tibetology at the University of Leipzig.
