"The world as a guest with friends" (from Mjunik Disco) - and more: the legendary Munich club "The Atomic Café" shaped the city's musical subculture beyond its borders for almost 18 years. For many regulars, the Atomic was a life partner, for many German and international bands an important stage in their careers and for local DJs a second living room. The directing duo Schuffenhauer and Seibold document the history of this indie institution in many voices. Looking back, the two owners, bands such as Sportfreunde Stiller and regular visitors talk entertainingly about idealism, cult and gossip. The whole thing is garnished with illustrious archive material. The golden glitter curtain has fallen, but this hymn of praise is a must-see! Maren Willkomm
