TIN-Festival. Festival für improvisierte Vokalmusik

TIN is the music festival of many voices, the happening of spontaneous sound art.
TIN, are concerts and jam sessions with singing and improvised vocal music.
TIN, is the first a capella festival for choral improvisations in Germany and takes place this year for the fifth time. Singers from different countries will show you how to perform on stage using only your own voice.

TIN, which means "The Improv Nuggets" and Kairos, the Greek god of the most favorable moment, is considered an invitation to live the moment in creative exchange with others: Take your time, be in it! Our future thrives on what we create NOW. Curiosity, creativity, surprise, connection. We want to experience all of this together with you in workshops, in participatory projects and activities of the supporting program - until you are ready to perform: The final "Open Stage" is there for everyone who wants to try it.

One of the participants will be Jaka Skapin, an artist from Slovenia. He is a singer with the London-based ensemble Antropos and works with performance, moving image and composition media, all based on the practice of collaborative improvisation. Patron and guest soloist of the music festival is Markus Stockhausen, a trumpeter and composer particularly known for his art of improvisation and one of the most versatile musicians of our time internationally.

On November 5, the TIN Festival moves on to the JazzSchmiede Düsseldorf, Himmelgeister Str. 107.
