Life in an apartment block, one of the masterpieces of the austere beauty of late communist Poland, is a true metaphor for the existence of modern man. Tadeusz lives at the center of the universe, on the top floor, where the sky and cocoa are his closest neighbors. His paths are not easy for the boy, as he has to walk through long corridors where it is half dark because crooks are constantly twisting the light bulbs. How is he supposed to get through this concrete acropolis under his own steam when hidden gods are waiting for him ... In conversation with Martin Jankowski, Tomasz Różycki will present his new novel "The Light Bulb Thieves", which is available in a congenial translation by Bernhard Hartmann.
