The new basement summer party is taking place at Import Export again this year. We have a huge program before we go into the summer break. Lots of friends, lots of bands, lots of games + hangout. Thanks to everyone who keeps coming to our show. Thanks to Import Export for giving us the opportunity to do shows. And thanks to all our friends who make music, talk about music, are obsessed with music, breathe and talk in music & drink and eat music. Ok, here's the lineup! Hallway + Shā Mò (沙漠) + Marc E. About new basement

new basement is a community-oriented DIY label that documents contemporary sounds from the local scene. By sharing tangible and intangible resources, we are committed to making rare and special music more accessible - and encouraging younger generations to create, connect and question.

We also organize concerts under the name new basement pres. concerts with relevant and inspiring artists as well as educational and community events that promote exchange between young musiclovers and musicians.

Hallway

Emerging from the Munich DIY scene, Hallway has discovered a sound that feels natural and open to experimentation. Their identity was formed from folk music and melodic influences from the experimental indie of the 2000s. The six-piece rock band gives the music enough space to spread out - a collaborative approach to acoustic landscapes that balances between freak folk and a clarity structured by rhythm and beat. The band is currently developing new ideas, many of which can already be heard live.

Shā Mò (沙漠)

Shā Mò (沙漠) gives an insight into the distant school days of the musicians and friends in Shanghai, China. Reveling in shared memories from their school days brings a new, beautiful and almost mythical connection to their homeland. The four-piece band Shā Mò (沙漠) combines influences from post-punk, krautrock and 90s post-rock to create an energetic set of driving guitars, personal stories and ever-growing tension. The first album 'Shā Mò (沙漠)' is a collection of old songs recorded on hot summer days.

Marc E. Moon

The one-man-band around Marcus Grassl (Aloa Input, Su Yono) rumbles along comfortably, while the guitars shine with scratchy twang. Between lo-fi and indie, Marc E. Moon gives free rein to his imagination and bundles his ideas into a playful, twisted sound.

fare well

New band, new songs, for the first time at the Sommerfest. Folk and rock n roll with a light voice and an addictive slacker attitude. There's no mention of David Berman / Silver Jews. Nor of the timeless Pocket of the Velvet Underground.
