We visit five Cologne cult pubs in Ehrenfeld. The guided pub crawl explores Ehrenfeld, Cologne's hipster district next to Sülz and Südstadt. In the age of industrialization, the former Kappesfeld developed into a melting pot of inventors, engineers and workers. In the 1960s, many Turks moved to Ehrenfeld. Today, Ehrenfeld is the epicenter of alternative culture and a nightlife hotspot for young people. Bernd Imgrund, a renowned pub expert from Eigelstein, takes you on a tour of the Wicleff, the Trinkgenossenschaft, the Braustelle, the EDP and the Berg-Krug. Afterwards, you'll know why the pub is a cultural venue.
