A live radio play by Coco Plümer / world premiere
On December 15, 1875, a bomb went off in Bremerhaven that had major repercussions. The worst were over a hundred deaths and massive damage to the port and the city. Psychologically and economically, the bomb, which was intended to be hidden on a passenger ship and was fitted with a time fuse, caused enormous fear. And curiously, the assassin William King Thomas was a notorious fraudster and criminal conman.
The Stadttheater presents this hair-raising story as a true-crime radio play - with live sounds and noises. The play brings one of the most formative and at the same time almost forgotten events in the city's history back to life.
