21.05.2025: Simone Rödder
Head of the Center for Knowledge Transfer

As part of "Untold Stories - Research & more!", Prof. Dr. Simone Rödder provides personal insights into her work at the LIB. As a sociologist and science communication researcher, she is interested in how the work and results of scientists contribute to tackling problems such as climate change and biodiversity loss or overcoming a pandemic. In all these cases, the actual problem is compounded by the fact that it is unclear how to talk about it and how to deal with it politically. She is interested in finding out which methods - from status reports and exhibitions to digital offerings - are particularly suitable for advising politicians, promoting enthusiasm for nature and making research tangible. In this format, she shows what she herself is researching, what motivates her as head of the Center for Knowledge Transfer at the LIB and how she contributes to strengthening the exchange between science and society.
